Evangelist Dr. Funmi Aragbaye is a Nigerian Sonorous Singer, gospel Musician, performing artist, songwriter and televangelist.

Biographical and educational career
Funmi Aragbaye was born on July 5, 1954 in Ondo town, into a Christian family. Her early education began at All Saints Primary School Ondo before proceeding to Offa Grammar School, Offa, for her secondary education and Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin for her Higher National Diploma in 1971.

Funmi Aragbaye was trained at Ondo states civil service training schools before she joined the Oyo State civil service where she retired as principal administrative officer in 1997.
While in Ondo State Civil Service, she served in the Ministries of Finance, Education. Governor’s Office and Commerce and Industry from where she later transferred to Oyo State Civil Service when the Government was terminated in a coup that saw her husband relocated back to Sketch.
In Oyo State Civil Service, Funmi Aragbaye worked in the Department of Establishment and Training, Ministry of Education and lastly Ministry of Works and Transport, where she retired in 1997.
Her divine call to Gospel Ministry dated back to the early 70s, when she was inspired through the ECWA Church in Ilorin, where she composed many songs to bless the congregation.
The call to professional musicianiship came in 1985, when she composed the songs in her first album Olorun Igbala, (1989) released on Decross Label, which has the hit Sioni O Ilu Ayo.
Olorun Igbala took the music industry by surprise and turned Funmi Aragbaiye to household name and darling of music concerts, crusades and social functions.
This inspired the released of Divine Call (Mo Gbo Ipe Olorun) (1991) on Sony Music Label which up till today has remained the yard stick to measure the standard of Gospel Music in Nigeria.
Although, Funmi Aragbaye started her musical career at Evangelical Church Winning All at Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, Nigeria shortly after she obtained the West Africa School Certificate.
Her debut album titled Olorun Igbala, alongside with Sioni Ilu ayo was released in 1983.

Family and personal life
Funmi Aragbaiye was married to Mr. Bola Aragbaiye, who was then Editor, Sunday Sketch.
She celebrated her 60th years birthday and 30th years in gospel music on July 5, 2014 in Lagos state and in attendance was veteran Nigerian gospel singers and artist including chief Ebenezer Obey, Joseph Adebayo Adelakun, Dunni Olanrewaju, Kunle Ajayi, a saxophonist and evangelist Bola Are, two-term President of Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria.
