Biographical and educational history
Lola Alao was born on December 19, 1970 in Igbira speaking area of Kogi state, in central Nigeria.
Lola Alao attended Army Children School, Ilorin and Sobi Government School for her first and secondary school certificates respectively.
She also studied Catering and Hotel management before graduating from the University of Lagos.
Lola Alao began her career in a television series, Ripples.
She has since starred in several Nollywood movies, some of which are:
Oko Nene, Oku Tee Sin, Ewe Koko, 5 and 6, Oku Nene and others.
She is also a movie producer and has successfully produced over 20 Nollywood movies in her production company, Lola Alao Production.
Humanitarian Work and net worth
Aside acting, Lola runs two non-governmental organizations, one in her daughter’s name, Damilola Ogunlana Emperment Foundation and Lola Alao Foundation.
Lola is rated one of the richest and most influential with a net worth of about $500,000 dollars.
Family and Personal Life
Lola Alao got married to Dare Ogunlana and had a daughter, Omowunmi. She again met the American based Olawale Ajibola which of course was short live.
Rumours had it that Lola dated former Senate President Bukola Saraki and she was showered with lots of gifts ranging from money, house and other valuables. This rumour has not been authenticated.
In May 2019, she won the custody battle for the children of her late friend, Aisha Abimbola who died in 2018 of breast cancer.
Lola Alao Controversy
There were unconfirmed rumours that she also dated ex-Kwara governor and Senate President, Bukola Saraki who showered her with money, a house, regular trips abroad, etc.
Ajibola got wind of the romance, confronted her and accused her of not showing him enough commitment. She, however, told him off He was said to have moved on with her best friend with whom he fled to Canada.
It wasn’t long after this that Lola declared that she was single again.
She got into a fight in 2012 with her once best friend, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe who she introduced to Dino Melaye.
Bisi alleged that Lola was dating Melaye while accusing the senator of being responsible for her pregnancy which he denied.
Lola Alao shocked everyone in 2016 when she announced that she was switching from Christianity to Islam.
